A strategy to combat thirst in Ramadan

A strategy to combat thirst in Ramadan

The feeling of thirst in the month of Ramadan becomes intense in summer because the period of fasting may extend to more than 14 hours a day. The body continues to lose water throughout these hours. At the time of Iftaar (the fast-breaking meal), one is in urgent need of prompt and adequate compensation for the liquids it lost. However, it is possible to help our bodies maintain water, resist the feeling of thirst, and reduce its intensity by following the principles of healthy nutrition during the month of fasting. Therefore, exerting some effort to avoid thirst would be easier than bearing the suffering.
Our allies against thirst
Water: is the best of drinks and cannot be compensated for by any other drink. Experts recommend drinking one liter and a half of water daily, preferably containing mineral, salts in order to compensate the salts that the body loses, especially while sweating. The following tips should be taken into account when dealing with water:
  • Do not leave the bottle of water for a long time after opening it and drinking it without use because the bacteria which are present in the mouth and the environment around us can be active in it and are a source of infection.
  • Wash the bottle and its lid with hot water and soap when refilling it along with changing it from time to time.
  • You can add some healthy elements to the glass of water you drink, such as slices of lemon, fresh mint leaves or grated ginger.
  • To get rid of the taste of chlorine pour the water into a large bowl and leave it for about one hour before drinking it.
Liquids of all types: particularly hydrating beverages and natural fruit juices which contain minerals. It is advisable to avoid juices containing unnatural substances and colors, which contain large amounts of sugar. These substances damage health and cause allergies.
Fresh fruits and vegetables: it is preferable to eat fresh vegetables and fruits at night and in the Suhoor (pre-dawn) meal. This is because they contain considerable amounts of water and fiber that remain for a long time in the intestines. This actually reduces the feeling of hunger and thirst. Cucumber is one of the most popular vegetables that combat thirst because it soothes the thirst and cools the body. It also helps to alleviate neurological disorders, and it contains nutritious cellulose fibers which facilitate the process of digestion, expel toxins, and cleanse the intestines
Delaying the Suhoor meal: the Sunnah recommends that the Muslim to delay his Suhoor meal. Therefore, it is preferable to have this meal after midnight, so that the fasting person will be able to resist thirst, especially in the first days of fasting. The Suhoor meal should preferably be a light meal.
Thieves stealing water from the body
Salt: salty foods increase the body's need for water; therefore, it is advisable to avoid adding a lot of salt on the food and stay away from foods with high salinity, such as salted fish and pickles. It is preferable to replace the salt with drops of lemon in salad as they adjust the taste just as well.
Spices and seasonings: meals and foods containing a large proportion of spices and condiments require drinking large quantities of water following ingestion. That is because these foods absorb water as they are taken, from the pharynx mouth and stomach causing dryness in the body, and thus the feeling of thirst. So, the fasting person should avoid eating spicy foods which contain a lot of seasoning, especially in the Suhoor meal.
Stimulants: It is recommended that the fasting person reduces the amount of stimulants like tea and coffee because they contain caffeine, which increases the activity of the kidneys and enhances its role in the excretion of urine. Thus, stimulants increase the process of losing water from the body. It should also be noted that tea and coffee cannot be considered alternatives to water;because their hot nature does not allow the fasting person to drink a large amount of them.
Soda drinks: they contain carbon which causes flatulence and a feeling of fullness and prevents the body from using liquids. Therefore, it is necessary to avoid soda drinks during the Iftaar meal.
Direct sunlight: the fasting person should avoid direct exposure to sunlight for long periods of time. The ways of mitigating the heat of the sun and thus avoiding thirst are as follows:
  • Taking frequent showers with warm water to cool the body and using soap to get rid of body oils that may block the pores.
  • Blocking out the sun from entering the house in the afternoon as much as possible by closing the blinds or curtains.
  • Wearing light-colored and loose clothes preferably made of cotton to absorb sweat.
  • Resting to the extent which is commensurate with the effort done in order to renew the body's dynamic energy.
6 myths to overcome thirst in Ramadan
1- Drinking adequate amounts of liquids with a high concentration of sugar hydrates the body and repels thirst.
Fact: Liquids with a high concentration of sugar urge the body to increase the flow of urine and increase the feeling of thirst. Therefore, it is recommended that the fasting person eats sweets moderately in Ramadan as well as only drinking small amounts of drinks with high sugar concentration.
2- Drinking plenty of water at the Suhoor meal protects from thirst during the fast.
Fact: the kidneys expel the extra water which is not needed by the body after a few hours, leading to disturbance of the fasting person during sleep because he needs to go to the bathroom. This causes fatigue during the day.
3- Drinking very cold or iced water at the start of the Iftaar quenches thirst.
Fact: Drinking iced water at the beginning of the Iftaar severely affects the stomach, reducing the efficiency of digestion and leading to the constriction of the capillaries thus causing some digestive disorders. Therefore, the water temperature should be average or only mildly cool, and the fasting person should drink it slowly, not all at once.
4- Drinking water while eating food provides a greater opportunity for good digestion.
Fact: Drinking water while eating disrupts the flow of saliva on the food such that the food does not mix well with the saliva in the mouth, and thus it is difficult to digest and the body scarcely benefits from it. Therefore, doctors advise people not to drink water while eating except for very little to help swallow the food.
5- Drinking plenty of water after the completion of the food directly helps in the process of digestion and extinguishes thirst.
Fact: Drinking plenty of water after eating directly in fact hampers the digestion process and prevents the digestive system from completing its function properly. That is, drinking an abundance of water prevents the secretion of gastric juices. The correct way is that the person should drink just a little water after the Iftaar to quench his thirst. The best time to drink plenty of water is about two hours after Iftaar, and it is preferable that the fasting person drinks small amounts of water at intervals during the night throughout the period between the Iftaar and Suhoor meals and not wait to feel thirsty before drinking water.
6- Frequent drinking of water leads to obesity
Fact: Recent studies have shown that water plays an important role in losing weight because water helps increase the secretion of the hormone Noradrenaline which increases the activity of the nervous system and increases the burning of fat, and thus helps to get rid of excess weight.

Important Practical Guide Plan For Purification Of The Soul

Like your bodies are important to be cleaned, your souls too should be clean! If the soul comes out of the body, then the body turns to be useless! That is why our soul should be clean!  Our soul's status can make a lot of differences in our prayers! If your soul is clean, then you will automatically fall in love with your prayers, and you can easily then focus on them! There are some ideas, of how to keep your soul clean:

Follow The Basic Pillars Of Islam:

Prayer,Fasting,Charity,hajj

And establish prayer and give zakah and bow with those who bow [in worship and obedience].(2:43)
And seek help through patience and prayer, and indeed, it is difficult except for the humbly submissive [to Allah ](2:45)

Oh you who believe! Fasting is prescribed to you as it was prescribed to those before you, that you many learn piety and righteousness" ( 2:183)

O you who have believed, indeed many of the scholars and the monks devour the wealth of people unjustly and avert [them] from the way of Allah . And those who hoard gold and silver and spend it not in the way of Allah - give them tidings of a painful punishment. The Day when it will be heated in the fire of Hell and seared therewith will be their foreheads, their flanks, and their backs, [it will be said], "This is what you hoarded for yourselves, so taste what you used to hoard."(9:34-35)

Hajj is [during] well-known months, so whoever has made Hajj obligatory upon himself therein [by entering the state of ihram], there is [to be for him] no sexual relations and no disobedience and no disputing during Hajj. And whatever good you do - Allah knows it. And take provisions, but indeed, the best provision is fear of Allah . And fear Me, O you of understanding.(2:197)

In it are clear signs [such as] the standing place of Abraham. And whoever enters it shall be safe. And [due] to Allah from the people is a pilgrimage to the House - for whoever is able to find thereto a way. But whoever disbelieves - then indeed, Allah is free from need of the worlds.(3:97)

And [mention] when We made the House a place of return for the people and [a place of] security. And take, [O believers], from the standing place of Abraham a place of prayer. And We charged Abraham and Ishmael, [saying], "Purify My House for those who perform Tawaf and those who are staying [there] for worship and those who bow and prostrate [in prayer]."(2:125)

Indeed, as-Safa and al-Marwah are among the symbols of Allah . So whoever makes Hajj to the House or performs 'umrah - there is no blame upon him for walking between them. And whoever volunteers good - then indeed, Allah is appreciative and Knowing(2:158)

Pray at time, and make sure you're completely cleaned for it, do Wudhoo.
O you who have believed, when you rise to [perform] prayer, wash your faces and your forearms to the elbows and wipe over your heads and wash your feet to the ankles.(5:6)

Take Care Of Your Purity:

And your clothing purify(74:4)

Allah loves those who are constantly repentant and loves those who purify themselves.(2:222)

And if you are in a state of janabah, then purify yourselves. But if you are ill or on a journey or one of you comes from the place of relieving himself or you have contacted women and do not find water, then seek clean earth and wipe over your faces and hands with it. Allah does not intend to make difficulty for you, but He intends to purify you and complete His favor upon you that you may be grateful.(5:6)

Ask Help Only From Allah:

And do not invoke besides Allah that which neither benefits you nor harms you, for if you did, then indeed you would be of the wrongdoers. And if Allah should touch you with adversity, there is no remover of it except Him; and if He intends for you good, then there is no repeller of His bounty. He causes it to reach whom He wills of His servants. And He is the Forgiving, the Merciful.(10:106-107)

If you're worried, or in some kind of tensions, then ask for help to Allah, and be patient.
O you who have believed, seek help through patience and prayer. Indeed, Allah is with the patient.(2:153)

And seek help through patience and prayer, and indeed, it is difficult except for the humbly submissive [to Allah ].(2:45)

The patient, the true, the obedient, those who spend [in the way of Allah ], and those who seek forgiveness before dawn.(3:17)

If you have commited any sin, then repent, and promise yourself, you wont repeat it.
And he who repents and does righteousness does indeed turn to Allah with [accepted] repentance(25:71)

But those who committed misdeeds and then repented after them and believed - indeed your Lord, thereafter, is Forgiving and Merciful.(7:153)

But as for him who repented (from polytheism and sins), believed (in the Oneness of Allâh, and in His Messenger Muhammad SAW), and did righteous deeds (in the life of this world), then he will be among those who are successful.(28:67)

And [recall] when Moses said to his people, "O my people, indeed you have wronged yourselves by your taking of the calf [for worship]. So repent to your Creator and kill yourselves. That is best for [all of] you in the sight of your Creator." Then He accepted your repentance; indeed, He is the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful.(2:54)

 Keep thanking Allah:

Then is He who creates like one who does not create? So will you not be reminded? And if you should count the favors of Allah , you could not enumerate them. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.(16:17-18)

So remember Me; I will remember you. And be grateful to Me and do not deny Me.(2:152)

And if you are grateful, He approves it for you(39:7)

Do Dhikr:

The Messenger of Allah (salallahu alaihe wasallam) said, "Shall I not inform you of the best of your actions which are the purest to your Rubb, which exalt you to the high ranks, which are more efficacious than spending gold and silver (in charity), and better for you than you should encounter your enemies whom you will smite their necks and they will smite your necks?" They said, "Certainly." He (salallahu alaihe wasallam) said, "Remembrance of Allah the Exalted.[At-Tirmidhi].

Those who have believed and whose hearts are assured by the remembrance of Allah . Unquestionably, by the remembrance of Allah hearts are assured.(13:28)

Allah has sent down the best statement: a consistent Book wherein is reiteration. The skins shiver therefrom of those who fear their Lord; then their skins and their hearts relax at the remembrance of Allah . That is the guidance of Allah by which He guides whom He wills. And one whom Allah leaves astray - for him there is no guide.(39:23)

O you who have believed, when you encounter a company [from the enemy forces], stand firm and remember Allah much that you may be successful.(8:45)

Keep Reciting Durood e Ibrahim:

Indeed, Allah confers blessing upon the Prophet, and His angels [ask Him to do so]. O you who have believed, ask [ Allah to confer] blessing upon him and ask [ Allah to grant him] peace.(33:56)

Indeed, We have sent you as a witness and a bringer of good tidings and a warner. That you [people] may believe in Allah and His Messenger and honor him and respect the Prophet and exalt Allah morning and afternoon.(48:8-9)

Keep Recting 99 Names of Allah:

Believe in the 99 names of Allah, read them, memorize them and apply their importance in your life.
He is Allah , the Creator, the Inventor, the Fashioner; to Him belong the best names. Whatever is in the heavens and earth is exalting Him. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.(59:24)

And to Allah belong the best names, so invoke Him by them. And leave [the company of] those who practice deviation concerning His names. They will be recompensed for what they have been doing.(7:180)

Allah - there is no deity except Him. To Him belong the best names.(20:8)

Narrated Abu Huraira:

Allah's Messenger (salallahu alaihe wasallam) said, "Allah has ninety-nine names, i.e. one-hundred minus one, and whoever knows them will go to Paradise." (Sahih-Al Bukhari)

The 99 names of Allah, and Durood e Ibrahim, can make a way for you to Jannah (Heaven) That's why, keep reciting them!

If you want a permanent home in Jannah, so keep reciting Laa'Ilaaha'Il'Allah (there is no God but Allah) and believe on it, for when you die, this may be your last words, Ameen!

Keep Reciting  Astaghfar Prayer:

I seek forgiveness from Allah, my Lord, from every sin I committed knowingly or unknowingly, secretly or openly, and I turn towards Him from the sin that I know and from the sin that I do not know. Certainly You, You (are) the knower of the hidden things and the Concealer (of) the mistakes and the Forgiver (of) the sins. And (there is) no power and no strength except from Allah, the Most High, the Most Great.(Fifth kalma)

Stop commiting sins, as watching tv, for there are forbbiden sounds in it, you may watch Islamic channels, and for worldwide news you may use Internet, so you can be safe from Haram Music!
Protect your private body parts, and protect yourself from the evil eye.

Follow these Instructions that Allah talah has commanded us to follow in fourth and Sixth kalma:

(There is) none worthy of worship except Allah. He is only One. (There is) no partners for Him. For Him (is) the Kingdom. And for Him (is) the Praise. He gives life and acuses death. And He (is) Alive. He will not die, never, ever. Possessor of Majesty and Reverence. In His hand (is) the goodness. And He (is) the goodness. And He (is) on everything powerful. (Fourth Kalma)

O Allah! Certainly I seek protection with You from, that I associate partner with You anything and I know it. And I seek forgiveness from You for that I do not know it. I repended from it and I made myself free from disbelief and polytheism and the falsehood and the back-biting and the innovation and the tell-tales and the bad deeds and the blame and the disobedience, all of them. And I submit and I say (there is) none worthy of worship except Allah, Muhammad is the Messenger of ALLAH.(Sixth Kalma)

Creation Of Mankind In Islam- Human Life According To Quran

Creation Of Mankind According To Quran :

Allah(S.W.T) said, that he created mankind to worship him only.

Allah (S.W.T) says :

I created the jinn and men only that they might worship Me.

Allah (S.W.T) delegated Adam (P.B.U.H) as His first Prophet, and Muhammed (peace be upon him) as His last Prophet. They and every single other Prophet in the middle of, delegated by ALLAH (S.W.T) for the direction of Mankind, brought the same message : i.e., All men must obey and love the unparalleled God, "Allah", who made all of them, and not to love others, who were, themselves, made. He, the maker, is distant from everyone else deserving of love.

ALLAH (S.W.T) says :
For we assuredly sent amongst every People (Nation) a messenger, (with the command), “Serve Allah and eschew Evil” Of the people were some whom Allah guided, and some on whom Error became inevitably (established). So travel through the earth, and see what was the end of those who denied (the Truth). (16 : 36)

All Prophets and Messengers were ardent persons. They generally broadcasted to their kin to love Allah (S.W.T) just, and battled against the individuals who loved others, be they men or things or blessed messengers. For deserving of love must be the maker, and not hose who were themselves made.

ALLAH(S.W.T) says:

ALLAH (S.W.T) says :
“The religion before Allah is Islam (submission to His Will): Nor did the People of the Book dissent there from except through envy of each other, after knowledge had come to them. But if any deny the Allah’s signs, Allah is swift in calling to account.” (3 : 19)

The normal (topic) in all Books is Tauheed [1] (one-ness), the message of all Prophets is "the One-ness of Allah". This is verification that Allah our Creator holds Islam dearest as the main genuine religion. Likewise that Islam is not another religion, but rather it has existed subsequent to the production of man.

Allah (S.W.T) says :
“And we sent no messenger before thee but we inspired him, (saying): There is no God but I (Allah), so worship and serve me.”  (21 : 25)

First Greater Unforgivable Worst Sin - Polytheism (Shirk)

Polytheism,is the biggest and unforgivable sin.The concept of polytheism,is to worship many gods.Islam totally condemns this and Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu 'Alaihi wa Sallam) spent his entire life contending it.

According to the Quran:

The Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu 'Alaihi wa Sallam) informs us three times, that they are the biggest sins to join partners in worship with Allah and false evidences. Even we have to suffer a big loss, as this loss is tolerable but on the judgement day will be intolerable. We should also remember, that our parents are the biggest blessings from Allah,we should respect them and never shout at them, treat them with kindness. It is in Quran, Verse no 17:23:

"And your Lord has decreed that you not worship except Him, and to parents, good treatment. Whether one or both of them reach old age [while] with you, say not to them [so much as], "uff," and do not repel them but speak to them a noble word".

Importance Of Transparency In Relationships -Top Plan Guides

Transparency with husband is the most important key for a happy married life. Trust is the establishment of a relationship. Straightforwardness is the coin of trust, the open sharing of data among gatherings included. For a mom to see their kids maintaining good relations and trust is a gift, and for friends its a clear environment. Maintain your relationship with transparency with your loved ones. They are a part of your life, they want to help as they love you unconditionally. When we make dua(prayer) and want to talk to Allah we are transparent. It relaxes us to speak to him without doubt. We can't and don't hide anything from Him. Don't hurt your relations. We have been blessed with these relations and we should be very grateful for this blessing. Enjoy your relationship with transparency. Try it, you will certainly feel like the happiest person in this world.

The Women And The Dress Of Modesty In Islam-True Guidance

The Best Ways To Cover Yourself:

Women are one of most beautiful and favorite creations of Allah (SWT). Thus, they are abiding to cover their features and they should be very careful when they are covering themselves up. Women should not decorate themselves in a way that attracts or provosts any nonmahrams that is the strangers.

Woman is not a piece of show, hence it is very important for every woman to take care of herself by not showing her off to the evil world and to the non mehrums(strangers). So the question is what is the criteria for observing hijab? Ulemas (scholars) came to the following conclusions:

🔶 The garment should be such that it covers everything from your head to toe.
🔶 The garment should not be very attractive and glamorous
🔶The garment or abaya should not be seen through
🔶The garment or abaya should not be very gaudy and the material should be thick
🔶 It should not be tight
🔶 It should not highlight your figure
🔶 It should not have any kind of perfumes or it.

Allah has mentioned the clear veres of women modesty In Quran:
"O you Children of Adam! We have bestowed on you raiment to cover your shame as well as to be an adornment to you. But the raiment of righteousness, that is the best. Such are among the Signs of Allah, that they may receive admonition.” (Quran 7:26)

“And say to the believing women that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty; that they should not display their beauty and ornaments except what must ordinarily appear therof; that they should draw their veils over their bosoms and not display their beauty except to their husbands, their fathers, their husbands' fathers, their sons, their husbands' sons, their brothers, or their brothers' sons or their sisters' sons, or their women or the servants whom their right hands possess, or male servants free of physical needs, or small children who have no sense of the shame of sex, and that they should not strike their feet in order to draw attention to their hidden ornaments. And O you Believers, turn you all together towards Allah, that you may attain Bliss.” (Quran 24:31).

“O Prophet, tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks close round them (when they go abroad). That will be better, so that they may be recognised and not annoyed. Allah is ever Forgiving, Merciful.” (Quran 33:59).

Sisters who wear hijab and burqa properly but have put a lot of makeup on their faces that dazzles eyes. Allah (SWT) regarded this matter also in the Qur’an on the same verse above,  "And say to the believing women that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty; that they should not display their beauty and ornaments except what must ordinarily appear thereof;"
Any type of adornment which makes a woman look "made-up" and attracts the amorous attention is not permissible, as this would defeat the whole purpose of hijab. And they should not also any perfume as the aroma of perfume also attracts any human. But nowadays we see that women don't understand this meaning. They cover their self, but showing their beauty to non mehrums and have put lots of makeup. Hijab now comes to fashion, they show their self to strangers and doesn't hide their proper hairs. They should properly cover their hair with a scarf, because the hairs are the most attractive part of a woman's body and lots of women will go to jahannum (hell) because of showing their hairs to strangers (non mehrums) May Allah (SWT) guide all of us along the straight path. Ameen.

Spread Salams:

A man came to the Prophet Muhammad salal lahualaihe wasallam and said, 'assalaamu alaykum!' The Prophet  Muhammad salal lahualaihe wasallam returned his greeting and when the man sat down, the Prophet Muhammad salal lahualaihe wasallam  said: 'Ten.' Another man came and said: 'assalaamu alaykum wa rahmatullah.' to which the Prophet Muhammad salal lahualaihe wasallam  also responded, and when the man sat down, He said 'Twenty.' Another man came and said: 'assalaamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh.' The Prophet Muhammd salal lahualaihe wasallam returned his greeting, and after the man sat down, he said: 'Thirty." (Abu Dawud and Tirmithi)
It Means by saying assalam o alykum only, you will be rewarded by 10 times, and if you say completely Assalam o alykum warahmatullahe wabarakatuhu, you will be rewarded 20 times.
"And when you are greeted with a greeting, greet in return with what is better than it, or (at least) return it equally."(Qur'an, An-Nisa 4:86)

Keep Reciting Subhanalle Wabihamdihi Prayer:
